Scan policies

1) I'm open to requests for translations of any of my raw scans. However, I'll get around to fulfilling translation requests even faster if the request includes something along the lines of 'I would really like to scanlate this book -- could you please put in a translation?'

2) It goes without saying that scanlation offers are absolutely welcome as I have the editing and Photoshop skills of a bat. Or roach. Books already marked for scanlating have a 'marked' tag.

Summary: A snapshot of Gintoki's daily life.
Notes: I thought I'd never get this done, but I'm glad I did. It's warm and sweet and awesome like everything about Gin-san is awesome. I would gush endlessly about this book as I do with every other Gintoki-centric book if I knew where to start. I liked it right from the okama teasing their Paako-chan for being saucy to Gintoki saying "trust me, you don't want to become like him" when a little kid tells him about his idol Okita. So there isn't sex, and there aren't any cool fighting scenes or angsty episodes. But it's Gintoki, and really, that's really all it takes.

Notes: I just realised that I've only ever done Nanbankibi's HijiGin. This obviously needs to be rectified D:. So Hijikata will probably make sure Gin-san won't be able to walk straight for 2 weeks after this episode, but Gintoki obviously thinks it's worth it.

Hijikata normally inflicts his revenge with weird Just We vibrators as well as with the real thing, and no amount of Gintoki protesting "I'm sorry! I really didn't mean it!" ever works, because we all know he meant it.

Note: Fond as I am of weird unique characterisations, sometimes I just want nothing but gorgeous art and hot sex. This is it. Standard characterisation, standard run-of-the-mill plot, but very pretty art and hot sex. I've previously scanned the Bansai/Gintoki piece.

I used to be a staunch Gin-seme fan. Then I came across Hyakkei, who just about destroyed any faith I had in my Gin-seme resolve. This makes no sense at all, since that woman does mostly Gin-seme pieces herself.

Paring: EdRoy on Kazuaki's part, EdRoyEd on Rokka's part.
Summary: They've both contracted an incurable disease, one unknown to the health profession...
Notes: I think most people who play around with FMA doujin have heard of Kazuaki; if not, she's currently a professional mangaka who does quite a bit of professional illustrations for CDs and novels. The Starry Sky production is illustrated by her. Rokka does mostly Ed/Roy with some very light Roy/Ed. She's now in Code Geass and is also doing quite a fair bit of original work as well. To put it simply, I love their art. A lot. I don't know, there's just something very alluring about Ed in a knee-length coat with wavy hair reaching down to his knees.

I hope this book hasn't yet been scanlated. As for what I might do next, here's the coverpic. It would be great if anyone could tell me if this Roy/Riza compilation has been done before...or not.

Notes: So, uh, ah, desperate Hijikata, anybody? He has some amazing mind-boggling lines here, in my opinion. Anyone else would call this OOC, but it tickles my fancies in every way possible. Near one-sided (not really) romance! Heartless cruel sensei! The heartbroken and viciously jealous teen! Oh wow angsty Asian romance! The cheeeeese! Tragic ending! This is why I love Yumeji so much -- all her books go down the Hijikata-->Gintoki route, and this inevitably leads to a cruel Gintoki (knowing very well that Hijikata is interested) mercilessly leading Hijikata on until Hijikata goes crazy from the want.

Summary: Okita is given the task of training Shinpachi, a task which she despises.
Notes: This is a complete prototype book. I've never seen a prototype book with any other main pairing besides Hijikata/Okita. I've seen light Kondou<--Okita that always ends up Hijikata/Okita (thank god), but that's about it. Any pairing involving Harada would have been nice.

Of course, I'm not complaining at all since I love Hijikata/Okita in all its guises. Damn both Hijikatas are absolute killers when they're paired off with women.

I'm no woman; I'm a demon.

Do you wish to protect his innocence so strongly? You would venture alone into the very midst of the enemy quarters just for that.

On an entirely different note, I've scanned and translated Shinshunka (Winter) in its entirety (including the previously un-scanned 30+ pages or so). It's now being edited, so things are definitely chugging along on that end. I'm also in the process of scanning Spring.

I've considered doing the sequel to Yomotsu Hirasaka, but gods I really should get the Shishunka monster out of the way first.

I know I still have a few unfilled requests -- I'll get around to them.

Notes: A very short piece to fill up a cow + tiger request, but Traumania is a very popular circle, and I like the way she draws Gintoki. Personally I prefer her HijiGin, so I have really few of her works...unfortunately. She has a whole series of books based on the animal Gintama family.
